The First Annual Cal Combat Robotics Competition

With the cancellation of the annual International RoboGames competition, as the president of my collegiate combat robotics team (RoboBears from UC Berkeley), I found myself in a difficult situation. My team had spent the entire summer designing three new 3 lb bots and a 60 lb bot specifically for RoboGames, but we were now left with no local event to participate in. With our extremely limited budget as a smaller, relatively new engineering club at UC Berkeley, I decided that our best option to keep the club going was to host our own 3 lb combat robotics competition on campus.
