Robotic surgery goes soft with the STAR soft tissue surgical system; an Origami bot that removes foreign objects from the digestive system; Pizza Hut will replace servers in some selected restaurants in Japan with Pepper; Toshiba’s fuel-rod cleanup bot can’t handle the high amount of radiation still in some reactors at Fukushima; and a subterranean poobot named Luigi that is designed to operate in city sewers and collect and analyze sewage.
