When Technology Fails

Technology has made tremendous strides in recent years, but it can sometimes fail in startlingly newsworthy ways. The space shuttle disaster three decades ago is a vivid example. Let’s take a look at what can cause failures with robots (and other technology), and some approaches to designing robots to help them be more failure proof.
