The D2-1 Smart Car is an inexpensive and fun kit that is readily available from multiple sources on the Internet. In this month’s issue, we will be hacking this small car to make it use light brightness to steer — all without using any parts other than the ones that come with the kit. Plus, we’ll answer a couple questions on using PWM to control motors and wanting to build an R2D2.
